Raph Pepin is a 23 years old pop pianist, media composer and songwriter from Montréal, Québec.  Having 19 years of piano expertise, she has been recording her tracks on Logic Pro for 9 years, drawing inspiration to orientate her sound into creating immersive and emotive music.

Having finished her studies as a music major at Bishop’s University, she plans on graduating with a B.A. in Popular Music Studies in June 2025. Raph’s exposure to various genres particularly indie pop, acoustic, instrumental, nostalgic sounds, and jazz, has shaped her unique, uplifting, and soothing style of writing.

In 2022, Raph Pepin connects with Montreal-based producer and songwriter Patrick Bouchard and play together in studio sessions to explore Raph's upcoming single, "Zoé". Patrick, known for writing theme songs for Star Academy (2009) and Chanteurs Masqués Québec, has played with Simple Plan and produced for québecois artists like Marie-Mai, Coeur de Pirate, Annie Villeneuve and Marilou. He has further inspired Raph’s approach of composing and recording, and is hoping to collaborate with him more in the future.

Raph Pepin has taken advanced music theory classes with Mathieu Désy at Bishop's, which have enhanced her approach to composing and provided opportunities to discover her preferred style. She has taken part of choir productions with her university from 2022-2024, including Carmina Burana with the Orchestre Symphonique De Sherbrooke at La Salle Maurice O’ Bready.

In 2014, she moves to Dubai with her family to live there for 8 years. It has allowed to immerse herself into different music cultures which has opened her vision on global music and inspired her to incorporate sounds from around the world in her music. Her professional piano training was heavily influenced by Michele Gelmini, an Italian composer and piano mentor based in Dubai who shaped her delicate way of composing and piano techniques.

She has also been in musical productions and many piano concerts.

Living in Dubai has allowed her to establish an international network, opening doors in collaborating with international musicians and sound engineers. Raph's global exposure has connected her with sound engineers and producers in Dubai, Nashville, New Delhi, and Montreal, as well as podcasters in Scotland and England.

Raph’s musical journey has been further enriched by her participation at Camp Musical Saguenay Lac Saint Jean for 2 years in 2017-2018. She developed her improvisational and composing skills through personal workshops with Marianne Trudel, the renowned Canadian pianist of the Orchestre National de Jazz de Montréal, and singer Jessica Vigneault, who is the daughter of the known Québecois icon singer, Gilles Vigneault. Raph played in a band mentored by double bassist, Rémi Jean Leblanc, who deepened her understanding of jazz performance and improvisation. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹
